Below you can find answers to questions we get asked the most

ePosting stands out by addressing the pain points of modern job application through a result-driven approach:

  • Zero upfront costs: Job seekers can apply for and request referrals completely free of charge, instead of paying upfront fees with no guaranteed outcomes.
  • Interests alignment: Referral payments are only required after refer-ee secures an interview, aligning refer-er's success directly with the refer-ee's progress.
  • Payment security: A protected Wallet system ensures referral payments are only released when the refer-ee starts the job, preventing scams.
  • Side hustle opportunity: Verified refer-ers can earn side income by sharing insider opportunities.

Unlike other platforms, we align our success with the actual job placement, i.e. the closing of the referral.

All you have to do to join our platform is click the "Join us" or "Create an account" button on our website. You can sign up using your Google or LinkedIn accounts in addition to your email address. Signing up is free!

Our platform is designed with an intuitive user interface to help you navigate it easily. Once your account is active, you will be able to access a personalized dashboard that will serve as your central hub for navigating the platform.

Creating a user profile is a simple 4-step process:

  1. Add a professional summary along with your personal details.
  2. Outline your recent employment experience or your current position.
  3. Highlight your key skills and abilities so that we can match you with the right opportunities.
  4. While optional, upload a professional profile picture and resume to create a strong first impression and build trust from the start.

You can add and update information to your profile at any time. Taking the time to craft a compelling profile will enhance your visibility.

Our job post form guides you through creating a listing for referral, including role details, requirements, and screening questions. You will also set your desired compensation for a successful referral. Once live, it is visible to all users or specific invitees. You can then review the referral candidates and engage with those who best fit your needs. Before posting, ensure you fully understand the role to effectively evaluate applicants when you start reviewing submissions.

ePosting does not charge the refer-er a fee to post a job, and there won't be any out-of-pocket costs at a given time. However, we deduct a 6% marketplace fee from the refer-er's earnings in the event that the referral is successful. Go here to learn more about ePosting's fee schedule.

To keep a job post active, select "Extend post" and choose the duration. This will maintain visibility and access to more referral candidates.

To end a job post, select the "End post" option. You can still stop accepting new applications if you've shortlisted candidates for the role. Closing a job post is recommended if the role is filled or no longer open, or when the ideal candidate has been identified. It also helps keep our listings up-to-date and relevant.

Once live, your job post is visible to all users or specific invitees. To invite candidates, use the platform's built-in tools:

  • For registered users, select the "Invite" feature to send them a notification.
  • For external candidates, utilize the "Send post by email" option to invite them via email.

Invitees will be prioritized when you review the referral applications, making it easy to identify while streamlining the process.

A referral incentive is set by either side of the referral:

  • Refer-ee: When posting a request, the refer-ee specifies the payment they will offer the refer-er for a successful referral.
  • Refer-er: When posting a job, the refer-er indicates the rewards they expect for a successful referral. These rewards are locked once applications are received to ensure fairness.

Once the refer-ee is shortlisted for a position, both parties will enter into a contract that outlines the referral incentive payment schedule. The funds will be securely held in escrow during the hiring process and will be released once the refer-ee starts the position. Go here to learn more about the payments and earnings schedule and the credit process.

You pay the referral incentive only when you successfully secure an interview for the job you applied to. If you don't get a job offer after the interviews, the amount remains in your Wallet, which can be withdrawn or applied to future referrals. Refer to your referral contract for payment breakdown and schedule, or go here for details about ePosting's refund policy.

ePosting does not charge the refer-ee a fee to apply for a referral. However, we require payment of a 6% marketplace fee of the total referral incentive-or $15 USD minimum, whichever is higher-at the time of contract acceptance. If the refer-ee is not selected for an interview, the marketplace fee will be returned to their ePosting Wallet. Go here to learn more about ePosting's fee schedule.

Our referral request form guides you through creating a referral for a specific role. This includes specifying the details of the role you are looking for and providing relevant information of your qualifications. You will also set the payment you're offering for a successful referral. Before posting, check our Jobs Marketplace in case the role is already listed, as that may eliminate the need for a referral request.

If you are interested in multiple positions, we recommend creating separate requests for each one. This allows potential refer-ers to invite you to the most suitable opportunities.

Uploading your resume to a referral request allows refer-ers and recruiters to thoroughly evaluate your qualifications and suitability to your desired role before sending you an application opportunity. Make sure to remove personal details before uploading, since the resume will become publicly available as soon as the request is posted.

Overall, having your resume on your profile (visible only to you) makes applying faster, as you won't need to upload it each time.

Once live, your request post is visible to all users, allowing them to invite you to job positions that match your request's criteria. If a refer-er is interested in referring you, they will use the "Invite" feature to send you a notification about potential job opportunities.

Invitees will be prioritized when refer-ers review the referral applications, giving you an even better chance of being considered.

You can view all your job applications, including their status, on the "Applications" page of your Refer-ee Dashboard. Applications that move to the next phase will appear on the "Shortlisted" page.

After shortlisting a candidate and assessing their fit for the role, you should have the candidate complete a referral agreement with you. It's best to wait until the referral contract is signed before submitting the candidate to the hiring company.

Submitting referrals in a timely manner, but only for candidates you strongly recommend, helps the hiring company efficiently review potential hires. This also reflects well on you as a refer-er.

Feel free to reach out to the hiring manager if you have any other questions about when to submit a referral. They can provide guidance on their preferred process and timeline.

If your interview was scheduled and you funded the escrow for the referral incentive, but you were later ghosted and did not receive any interview opportunity, please reach out to both your refer-er and our support team for assistance. Maintaining regular communication with your refer-er is crucial, as they may provide valuable insights or updates regarding the situation.

To chat with a refer-er, click the Chat icon in the Refer-ee Dashboard. Use the job chat to discuss the role details, clarify questions, or address any issues. The conversation history is saved for future reference.

To chat with a referral candidate, click the Chat icon next to their application in the Refer-er Dashboard. This will open up the Job Chat feature, which is a centralized hub that allows you to manage all your conversations. Use the Job chat to initiate new chats and continue existing conversations you've had with a candidate associated with a given job posting.

To add a user to your network, select the "+ Network" option on their profile. This will send them a network connection request. Once they accept, you will be able to chat with them via the Network chat feature. This private chat allows you to communicate directly with your network connections.

An escrow is a secure payment system that temporarily holds funds, releasing them only when specific conditions are met. On ePosting, referral incentive payments are securely held and released in two stages: partially upon interview confirmation and fully upon a job offer. This process ensures fair and secure transactions, reducing risk by releasing payment only when both the refer-er and the refer-ee fulfill their contractual agreements.

When you see a credit status marked as “pending”, it means that we are conducting a double verification process to ensure transaction security and accuracy.

Wallet is an all-in-one tool designed to help you track and manage referral-related finances. It provides access to complete transaction history (such as escrow payments, payouts, credits, and withdrawals), detailed transaction breakdowns, payment recipes, pending earnings, as well as refunds and withdrawals management. Importantly, Wallet does not store any sensitive banking or payment information, ensuring maximum security and privacy of your financial data.

All application status updates (shortlist, referral contract, interview, and offer stages) will be sent to your Notifications page.

Additionally, follow these steps to get SMS notifications for your application:

  1. Add your phone number to your profile
  2. Go to Settings > Notifications
  3. Opt in for SMS notifications

Navigate to the "Notifications" page from the top navigation bar, which allows you to filter, read, and manage your notifications directly from this centralized view. We made it easy for you to keep track of which ones you've addressed, and you can also delete a notification as needed.
